About The Tinnitus Clinic
Michael Tay is a board-certified clinical audiologist by training who specializes in tinnitus, hyperacusis, and misophonia. He is board certified by the American Board of Audiology in Tinnitus management and certified by the United States Department of Veteran Affairs in Progressive Tinnitus Management. Michael has proven clinical experience in tinnitus management in the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Singapore. Michael has tinnitus himself after an established career in the maritime and offshore industry and enjoys helping patients and supporting them through their tinnitus journey. Michael is currently undergoing clinical research training at a postdoctoral level in Harvard Medical School, USA.

Michael is passionate about humanitarian work and is an active volunteer in Médecins Sans Frontières, also known as Doctors Without Borders in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Mozambique through the "Missing Maps" project. Prior to the global pandemic, Michael is a volunteer classroom teacher rendering free education to less privileged children in rural areas in Tanjung Pinang, Indonesia.

In recognition of his efforts, Michael was awarded the highest civil honor in the commonwealth of Kentucky, by Kentucky's governor the Honorable Andy Beshear as a Kentucky Colonel. He was also appointed as an Officer in the Knightly Order of Saint George, in the United Kingdom in 2022 where he continues his rendition of humanitarian support to fundraising efforts through the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment. Michael was subsequently commissioned the rank of Admiral in the Texas Navy in recognition of his dedication and contribution to healthcare.
